commemorates for Citizens State Bank 110 years of banking at
the same location and 90 years as a state bank. During these
many years, Citizens State Bank has provided financial services
to the towns of Wyoming, Olin, and Oxford Junction, and the
surrounding communities.
Citizens State Bank began operation in 1893 as a private
bank, known as Citizens Bank at the same location as the
present bank. It was a private institution, founded, owned
and operated by Peter S. Jansen. In 1913, Citizens Bank was
chartered as a state bank and became Citizens State Bank.
The Oxford junction office was opened in 1937. In 1997, the
Olin Office was acquired. Construction of the Drive Up facility
in Wyoming was completed in 1999.
